Alongside The Milan Breakfasts and exposition Spring, Premsela presented a mini-symposium during Salone del Mobile in Milan. The symposium Never Mind the Mainstream was organised together with the Vitra Design Museum.
Premsela and the Vitra Design Museum’s mini-symposium Never Mind the Mainstream: Experiment and Industry took place on Wednesday 18 April in the Triennale Design Museum. Guests including the designers Konstantin Grcic, Hella Jongerius and Philips’ Rogier van der Heide and the critic Aaron Betsky discussed the roles of experiment and industry in design.
Dutch Design in the Vitra Design Museum
The Vitra Design Museum will continue to spotlight Dutch design this summer with an exhibition on Gerrit Rietveld and another entitled Confrontations. For the show, five designers from the Netherlands created objects with craftspeople and industrial companies from the region around Weil am Rhein and nearby Basel, Switzerland.
