Premsela

Premsela, the Netherlands Institute for Design and Fashion, works on behalf of the growth of Dutch design. To Premsela, design is not only a significant cultural phenomenon but also a force in the search for answers to social, cultural, economic and individual questions.

The institute organises lectures, debates and exhibitions and publishes Morf, magazine and the international web portal Design.nl, collaborating intensively with a great many partners. It aims its activities at designers, students, clients, producers, professionals and amateurs in the Netherlands and abroad.



Premsela takes a broad view of the field: design encompasses graphic, fashion, product and information design and related aspects of architectural design. The institute supervises the preservation, documentation and archiving of design and fashion in the Netherlands’. It also presents and represents design and design thinking in the national and international arena.



Premsela receives funding from the Dutch Ministry of Education, Culture and Science and the city of Amsterdam.
