CDA MP Karien van Gennip and graphic designer Irma Boom have been named to Premsela’s Governing Board. They join previous members José Teunissen, chairman Jan Tichelaar and treasurer John Smits to make the board complete.
Van Gennip is the CDA party’s spokesperson for foreign affairs in the Lower House. She was State Secretary for Economic Affairs in the Balkenende II cabinet. Boom specialises in book design and works for renowned Dutch and foreign clients such as Vitra, the Office for Metropolitan Architecture and Ferrari. Her work has won numerous awards. She is a senior critic at Yale University in the United States.
Tichelaar has been the director of ceramics firm Royal Tichelaar Makkum since 1995. Teunissen is a lecturer in fashion design at ArtEZ, the Arnhem Academy of Art and Design. Smits, previously an executive at Océ, Campina Melkunie and Randstad, works as an independent consultant.
